LIP is an old French watch company founded in 1807 by Emmanuel Lipman. But it was during the 1900s the company became a great success in France. During its greatness they made 300 0000 watches a year. Unfortunately, the company found itself in crisis when the quartz-work came & cheap Japanese watches entered the market.
An attempt to rescue the company were to hire a gang of young designers from areas such as space, air, pop culture. Including Roger Tallon. (Tallon designed Mach 2000 series)
Unfortunately, this was not enough to save the company, and it later went bankrupt. Which of course meant that these futuristic watches produced, quickly became a valuable collector’s item.
But in recent years the company has resurfaced & now with a vintage series, So now you have the chance to acquire these “modern classics” if in reprints.

So this is my personal favorite watch right now, the Nixon Murf. It’s available in 6 different appearances and i think i like the brushed metal one more than the others. However the black as seen above next to it, is not that bad either. I have the Retsu IPB and i don’t use it that much, but i would like to if it was a bit bigger, recently i bought my self the Casio classic nerd watch and i can say that its my personal favorite, its light weight and retro, show time digitally and precise.

To start with i have been looking at an Adidas watch for ages now, a black plastic one with gold details, a sport watch. However just by accident i was walking past the local clock store and i saw the Casio A-164w, a geek or nerd watch. I just got in love with it the same second i tried it on, like one or two years ago i was very anti-watches because i had my cellphone but now Im kinda into watches. The Casio has a thin chain, and is water resistant down to 50 meters. has a clear digital screen, Alarm, stopwatch and 12/24 hour measure. even though the chain is super thin there is some weight to the watch, the retro looking and hart pounding design is something for a geek like my goes well with all the geek chick clothes that is out there. Verdict… i just love it, might not fit my regular style but i just love it. (buy 58$)
