ONREPEAT – Joao Oliveira

A really abstract tall Poster made by ONREPEAT

It’s not usual for me to make posts with images taller then one that would fit to a 13″ screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution, but this is a little special thing so i wanted you to be able to grab it if you liked it. I will dig deeper into the world of Joao Oliveira and post a longer and more veracious post.

So for now you have to enjoy the little inspiration i serve.

The most insane agriculture on earth

The rice terraces of the philippine cordilleras, if laid out end to end, would stretch halfway round the globe. if this ingenious feat had been accomplished in recent times the clearly enormous task would have seemed more than impressive, This is just amazing, the terraces was complete thousands of years ago when there where no machinery’s or bulldozers, this is completely handmade. There are a couple of places in this world with agriculture like this, its the Philippines, Bali and some parts of Indonesia. This is truly one of the new 7th wonders of the world.

Vespa 2008 iconic!

Woah this is on the top of my want list. The most iconic scooter in the world is getting a small makeover. The 2008 Vespa S costs 4100$ [Buy it here] is a retro-forward version of the Vespino scooters of the ’60s and ’70s. There is a 150cc four-stroke engine, with an incredible fuel milage, an advance front disc/rear drum braking system. There are light alloy rims, 11 inch in the front and 10 inch in the rear. 2,3 gallon gas tank, great looks, eco-friendly, retor, iconic – superfamous combination.

Silbervogel – Gravity Car

This is a car made for the gravity races in california its made by the young designer Jakob Hirzel . I think we could make a street version of this, fit the body with solar, and put in a small engine that pushes this thing up in speed, make the wheels a bit bigger, and make the body stronger, like kevlar or carbon steel. So if you crash, you just roll around until you stop and the body holds you in position. This is a one man car of the future, do some moderations to this and it could go really really fast. with low use of energy.

Cool Feet – Bluelounge

It’s my 5th month with my own set of Cool Feet’s and i must say, Bluelounge what a awesome job you guys have done. I feel that design and functionality goes hand in hand, always! and i like design that is simple and very smart. So when it comes to Cool Feet they are both sleek and smart designed.

To take advantage of the plastic or aluminum casing on the Mac’s and using suction parts that simply sticks to the case are just super. They give the keyboard a slightly better elevation and the also make a better ° on the keyboard. And number one, it fills it’s purpose and cools the underbody down, and thats a lot my friends… The only down-part is that they are really easily get lost especially if you are moving your laptop around a lot. But then again the price is just 12.95 $ and the material that they use producing them are rubber, and its not a big adaption, so you can afford buying a new set if you lost yours, both economically and ecologically.

Eco friendly house by Kjellgren & Kaminsky

This house from Kjellgren & Kaminsky architects It’s a low energy cost, where the household machines support the heating of the house. This is one of the houses, a cylinder shaped one with an Atrium in the middle.

The houses was presented at the Hem & Villa House Fair in Malmö earlier this month. The houses are very well isolated and need minimal heating sources. “Now we will make these buildings achievable for everyone.” – says Joakim Kaminsky

An idea… Electricity from your water pipes

So just got the an idea, why don’t we install a small turbine and a battery or transformer at each sides of the water suppliance to your house.!? Average PSI in the pipes are 10 to 15 PSI° witch is a lot. More than enough to power a small turbine, and use the electricity that generate when we use water, shower, flush toilet, do the dishes, laundry… well you understand.

Combine that with the use of solar and wind ( yeah there are small wind turbines that don’t rise a 200 feet above the ground ) and i think every home will be completely ECO, and ofcourse have traditional electricity as a backup. But what if you could cut down you energy bill to a 10th of what it is now for some minor investments that you have saved in in just a couple of years time, and also you have helped save the environment!

So engineers start producing this thing, i don’t care who dose it just do it!
