A Swedish Staircase by TAF Architects

I did post that beautiful staircase the other day, and now i wanted to share a swedish designed staircase, not at all the same style or floating as the other one but still charming and humble in it’s own way.

The stair is steep and zic-zacy… Almost as steep as an ladder, it’s built and designed for a private residence in Stockholm, the capitol of sweden.

Title: Stair
Object: Stair
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Client: Private Residence
Design: Gabriella Gustafson & Mattias Ståhlbom
Date: 2006

I’ll let you decide for your self if you think this is a good design or bad, personally I LIKE!!!!

Guns don’t have to kill people.

Hey everyone, its friday evening in Sweden and i have spent it with my girlfriend and we made some delicious food and as usual i have been browsing the web for some nice kicks. Here in Sweden we have strict rules when it comes to guns, they are simply not allowed. So when we joke around and sometimes when we have a rough time we can say stuff like “Just shoot me…” i know you don’t say that stuff in the US or any where that allows guns. So i just wanted to make sure if i would write it someday that you don’t take it in the wrong way, It’s just a joke.

So instead if shooting each other lets drink tea together and learn about life. I just love how Yvonne Lee Schultz has turned something so horrible as guns into porcelain art and personally I love the design of it, and would love to have a pair on display in a nice glass box. Have a great weekend, we will try our best to bring some neat stuff during your off work experience.

Johan Örjansson – Indepentent Musician from Sweden

If you remember this artist it’s because i have written about him before. I think it’s important to help the independent artists to succeed and i wanted you to know that Johan Örjansson has released a new album a couple of moths ago. Listen to Johans songs and decide for your self if you like it or not, and if you do so, please let him know drop a comment or two on his myspace

I have had the pleasure to see Johan live a couple of times this summer and this photo is from one of his shows.

Swedish Soccer Team Ad for Oddset.

I’n defiantly not the biggest soccer fan on earth but i do like my country and when its Europe Championship i need to give it to you that i like soccer more than i do when its just regular season. So this is one of those commercials that runs on National TV in Sweden right now. Embarrassing!? Yes!! Totally Rad!? Yes! and it’s cool just because the english language is so badly pronounced, i can tell you that it sound like a lot of the swedes here. Enjoy!

IKEA invades Brooklyn

Now the Swedes are invading Brooklyn, we are everywhere so beware. Well not everywhere but you can imagine thinking swede, when you see a; Volvo, Sony Ericsson Cellphone, SAAB, H&M, Hard Bread, Meatballs and of course IKEA.

Now its time to invade Brooklyn, and we do it with pride, thats why we placed a 20×20 feet packing box as a showroom to get those Brooklyners lined up for the opening, well i’ve heard rumors that people will camp outside, even more fanatic than the Apple fans.
