A Swedish Staircase by TAF Architects

I did post that beautiful staircase the other day, and now i wanted to share a swedish designed staircase, not at all the same style or floating as the other one but still charming and humble in it’s own way.

The stair is steep and zic-zacy… Almost as steep as an ladder, it’s built and designed for a private residence in Stockholm, the capitol of sweden.

Title: Stair
Object: Stair
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Client: Private Residence
Design: Gabriella Gustafson & Mattias Ståhlbom
Date: 2006

I’ll let you decide for your self if you think this is a good design or bad, personally I LIKE!!!!

Swedish Architecture from Stockholm

This is Bahnhof AB’s new Office in an old nuclear shelter in Stockholm, sweden.

Well my last weekend was spent in Stockholm, because we where going to look at the Sing and Songwriter Johan Örjansson at Mosebacke. But we did some other things to, spent a couple of hours zipping on some coffee latte’s and Chai tea. And we had an awesome sunday breakfast buffé at Café String on Södermalm.

One thing we did not do was to look after Bahnhof’s new office, The project takes place in a former 1200 square meter anti-atomic shelter. An amazing location 30 meters down under the granite rocks of the Vita Berg Park in Stockholm.

The work made with big influence from the James Bond set designer Ken Adams and well i think it’s unbelievable beautiful and looks alot like the original bat cave. The entire build is a mash of my favorite textures and elements, Steel, Concrete, glass and rock. There is a very raw and futuristic feeling about this office and server location

The server racks at Bahnhof

Moss in the office

Bahnhof thought that they needed to bring in natural elements and not just the rock and concrete. So they brought in moss and vegetive areas to make an more ECO friendly looking environment. Very futuristic. This is my very own little cave, and if i some day in the future build a house i think this will be a part of my inspiration, combined with other styles that i like.

I hope you’ll liked the reading and understand that we swedes can do sweet stuff to, not just Volvo and SKF and IKEA, we do design too. Keep on reading.

In a cluttered marked we see Cassius

Saturday has arrived, we have some gorgeous autumn weather. We have loads of things to do today, we are cleaning out our old office and moving the interiors. And then later tonight my girlfriend is having a party for her work mates, i think I’m participating too, giddy party!

So over to CASSIUS Eyewear, in a cluttered marked like eyewear – where every designer and chihuahua has it’s own range it’s difficult to stand out. Thats why we connected with Cassius a hot new brand that migrates from New Zealand, the fab antipodean country that gave the world the wonderful likes of fashion designers Karen Walker and Zambesi.

Cassius launched in early summer of 2008, spicing the international apparel exhibition in Las Vegas. It was a direct winner with exclusive stockists in London, LA, New York, Paris, Stockholm and Tokyo.

Created and founded by creative director Jason Ng. Cassius thrives with the pulse of an evolving business, taking inspiration from more disciplines of design such as; art, illustration & architecture. I’m a sunglass addict and well lets just say a have more than a bunch… I j’adore Cassius
