Nike Human Race

Good morning everyone, soon 10 am monday morning, “good” after 10 so I’m still just by monday morning. A couple of days ago, Nike made the first Human Race ever, if you own a Nike + ipod kit, or lived in any major city (the list is long) you could participate, the thing they wanted you to do was to run 10K sometime during the 30th of August. This is a photo from Washington, Capitol hill where the Nike Human Race took place (one in many places on the globe) This must be world record in gathering most simultaneously runners at one specific time. Way to NIKE.

“Blade Runner” makes it to the Olympics

This bloke Oscar Pistorius (yeah thats the name of a famous guy), got both his legs amputated when he was one year old. And now he is competing for a spot in the 2008 Beijing olympics. Two years ago Pistorius ran the 200 in 21.34 seconds, matching the women’s world record time set by Florence Griffith Joyner in 1988 and missing the qualifying time for the 2008 Olympics by just three-quarters of a second.

This last 24 hours the entire sports media in the world has been talking non-stop about Oscar, a man without legs as a chance to compete in the Olympics and not the Paralympics. We over at superfamous can only say this is a step forward in the human evolution, breaking ground for the times to come.

Pistorius we have just one thing to say, we wish you good luck in the qualifying and also like all the sportsmen out there. You are living your own dream, and oscar we hope and wish for your dream to come true!

Hands on miCoach from Samsung/Adidas

Well i did get my hands on this phone the miCoach a couple of weeks ago but i totally forgot about them photos. This phone has it all if you are into training, there is a pulse meter, a sensor to put in your special shoe (like nike + ipod), wrist band, handsfree specially designed for running, and also a complimentary set up of clothes branded miCoach from Adidas.

The phone has some really nice features, a rubbery backside that don’ slip out of your hands.

There is a 2 megapixel camera in the phone as well, so not only a training junkie phone, but there is; a personal interactive coach, a speedometer, distance meter, step calculator, pulse-o-meter and calories burned meter.

And the phone sits really nice in your hands if you are out running with it;
