Fergadelic – Stussy summer 2011

Fergus Purcell aka Fergadelic is has been a very hard working man as of late. The artist known for his rock/street influenced style has recently been announced as Stussy’s latest ‘guest artist’ in a series that has seen contributions from other artists such as JJ Villard and Daniel Clowes. I’m not too excited over this blogish stop I got going right now. I’m working really hard on some projects I got going, and work takes up a lot of the time. And the WASF™ team is also divided into smaller projects and doings. So I’m looking for one or two talented and internet trendy faces. It dosen’t matter if you are in China or in Argentina. If you feel like you would suite for this please contact me at Linus.Ekenstam@kreativt.se, you’ll be able to write about what ever you like that fits under the already nisch we got going, your words will reach 30/45000 readers a month. Together we can make a better platform for WASF™. There is no pay right now, if we get the ad’s going there will of course be payment based on the articles you write and deploy.

Everyday i have a quick look at some different blogs and inspiration sites… I spend my evenings looking at some amazing stuff online, and every now and then i drag-n-drop a photo into a little folder on my desktop names “inspired by unknown”. So first of i thought i name this section just that due to the lack of source control and ability to give cred to the creator. I know this sounds unfair and that there are loads of she creatives and he creatives that stands behind this work, I understand how you feel, but there is something in me that just want to share all this goodie bits and pieces.

So the internet is full with inspiration, many blogs just like this one. We all do our little part, in re-blogging, re-discovering, re-writing, re-decorating… yeah you get the point. So this blog is not about originality all the time, in many ways the oposite. We try to post things that makes our mind spin, creative stuff, not necessary new stuff. Thats what it’s all about, re-inspire. These photos belong to the photographer Thorsten Schmidtkord from Düsseldorf, he has been active since 1995 and this is his set called “Head on Top”, enjoy.

Fabulös & Korthuggen “Bokeh”

This weeks addition to the flickr pool F&K (Fabulös & Korthuggen). The theme was Bokeh and I went out for a little photo session with Tessan and Mimmi, both members of the group. I got a bunch of great Bokeh photos, but something told me this was the one to use, so I went with it. What do you think?

I was browsing for inspiration for my new logo, yes it’s going to be something impossible… Ideas!? And i came across these stamps from the 80′s here in sweden. I have a love/hate feeling twoards impossible objects / illusions, but i really likes these and wanted to share them with you guys.

Just fnished a big project, i’ve re-designed winternet.se (the business that i work for). I’ve started out with a blank paper, and a pencil. This is the finished product, no CMS this is just freehand HTML & CSS. So lately i’ve been of the blogosphere, but thats due to sercomstances just like this. Work is hectic right now and i will try my best to blog a post or two in the evenings. THANK YOU for hanging in there!

So i need to re-write this post because i kind of updated it and deleted some good info i wrote. But it went something like this…

The Spotify competition is still on full speed forward, and we have a winner today, he is Joshua Covarrubias from Brooklyn, New York City. If you want to get your own Spotify Account you need to do a little something for us; First write the following “I Want Spotify from WeAreSuperFamous.com” write it on a piece of paper or cardboard or anything you have laying around at home/work. Then take a photo or record a little video of you holding the sign, or just something else you find creative enough to earn you a Free Spotify Invite. Then post it to your blog, and link to www.wearesuperfamous.com and send me an email or video link. Then you’ll be in the running of your own Spotify Account, Spotify is a lot like iTunes, but you can access almost every song out there, share your playlist’s (a spotify playlist link, Christmas songs) with friends and family, and access your account any any computer, PC or MAC. You never have to fill your hard drive with MP3′s again.
