Bikes… they are just bikes…

Bimota DB7

Here is one sweet bike to place in you living room if you have the space to spare. The Italian Bimota DB7 is just a piece of art, some of the Bimotas uses TESI, but the DB7 don’t.

Articar Bike by Ben Wilson

We’ve got to give it to Ben Wilson– it takes plenty of ingenuity to make a recumbent bike look cool. Not only did Mr. Wilson do that with his Artikcar Bike, he made the recumbent bike very much en vogue. Artikcar is a four-wheeled recumbent-style bike with a bubbly rider profile that is laced with bright neon lighting. Beyond its bold design sensibility, Wilson’s Artikcar is as much about safety as it is about style. That neon wrapping will ensure that the drivers you share the road with will be well aware of your presence. We salute you, Ben Wilson, we’d love to have your Artikcar in our own garage.

Trekk Bikes, a new era has begun

We are witnessing a new era, where bikes are now longer powered by them good old chains. It seems like over the next years almost every manufacturer in the world will go from chains to belts. There are a lot of reasons why, one is the weight, one is the fact that chains tend to loose strength and turn rusty, they need oil to keep on going. And your clothes will no longer have those chain stains, so what’s the downside? As usual when it comes to new technology the price tag, its still a bit expensive, a regular bike for 3 -4000 SEK and with belt 4 -6000 SEK, (500$ or 1000$). I know that in a couple of years time though the price tag will be as on any bike, that how things work. But just so you know it’s hitting mainstream later on this year and during the spring. MonoWheel by Ben Wilson

Designer Ben Wilson has produced a monowheel – a cycle where the rider sits inside a large, spokeless wheel. This is a ride of the future, imagine this thing with a plasma engine, some nice computer based balance software (kinda like the Segway). The bike was created for the XX1st Century Man Exhibition at the 21-21 Design Sight. Ben say’s “We don’’t suggest for one moment that a functioning human powered monowheel could ever provide an improvement on the modern bicycle. Instead its value comes from the discourse and ideas generated as a result of this research.”

Suzuki S-Ride – MotorCar

This is the new thing, motor producers are aiming on the younger group of people. And this year the amount of people living in Urban areas are now a majority of the people on earth, so this concept is about less fuel consumption and a small carrier that will have no problem fitting in a motorbike parking spot.

The hatch opens like on a super fighter jet. And there are Sound system, Heat, Cruise control, And even a super secret new GPS system that communicates with other cars, so no traffic accidents can accrue.

So conclusion; I really want this car/motorbike and i would tune it and tweak it. However i don’t like the exterior colors, and i really don’t like the interior colors either. If i got one it would most defiantly be black with some elegant dashes of color, not like a lot of gaps, and different textures. I would re do it so it would be looking more exclusive. What do you think?!
