Earthquake in Concepcion, Chile 8.8M
Just to give a picture of whats going on in Chile. Everyone is on and off about Haiti, Chile needs help to, and there earthquake was far higher graded on the magnitude scale a blasting 8.8 magnitude compared to the 7.0 on Haiti. The photos are from boston.com and we just want to help spread the knowledge of this event. House in Lille – Saison Menu Architects
French photographer Stéphane Chalmeau shared with us this 200 sqm house designed by Saison-Menu Architectes in a narrow site in Lille, France. It features a wooden first floor that merge with the exterior fence, and brown boxes-like volumes on the second floor, creating a wide terrace on top.

Nicolas Tye Architects‘ newest studio neighbors the practice’s barn-conversion residential project. For their newest office space, the 2,200 sqf barn has been transformed into an elegant studio that rests comfortably against the rolling hillside of Bedfordshire. Taking a mere 10 months to finish, the studio houses Nicolas Tye’s employees. Serving as a manifesto of the studio’s beliefs, the building respects its contextual surroundings while demonstrating a contemporary identity.

NASA Space Shuttles
NASA’s official night launches might be over, but you can recreate them with one of the remaining NASA Space Shuttles (roughly $28 million). Space Shuttle Discovery has already been sold, but Atlantis and Endeavour are both still available, representing not only a verified piece of human history but billions of dollars worth of government funded R&D. Plus, you know, it’s actually been to space, not unlike a gigantic moon rock that you’ll need more than just a little shelf space to display. [PRICE TAG: 28$ million]
