Spit of a Second – Wingsuit flying
We all have dreams of flying… Wingsuit World Champion Espen Fadnes does it for a living. The biggest setback is the knowledge that everyone that ever cared for him always worries. But he says he don’t take unnecessary risks and when he leaps into the free air, the past doesn’t exists and neither the future, it’s only NOW that matters.

Olive – first full length feature film shot completely on a phone
Olive is the first full length feature film shot completely on a smart phone. A 35 mm lens adapter was fabricated to fit the smart phone in order to achieve a shallow depth of field. The film stars two time Academy Award nominated actress Gena Rowlands (the Notebook, A Woman Under the Influence, Gloria). The film simply put is about a little girl that goes into the lives of three people — an old lonely woman, a foreigner having a hard time acclimating in the United States, and an obese man — and transforms their lives without saying one word!
The financing of Olive was done independently of any corporation. The goal now is to be the first film to not only be shot on a cell phone but to also be the first independently financed feature film on 2,000+ theaters across the United States without the backing of a Major Studio.
The Film also stars John Scurti, Chris Maher, and Ruby Alexander. Other names affiliated with the project include Ben Lear, Randi Zuckerberg, and Skywalker Sound did the sound design.
eager to write.
So this is not my last post and not my first. this blog, column, magazine have seen many different shades of white. When I started back in 2006 i was not sure if I even where able to make it thru 1 week. But here I’am 5 years later, 1000 articles plus.
There are so many things that i’ve missed during the years but there are also so many things that i covered. So where do I want this little baby to go in the future? Frankly I don’t know. There are still a good bunch of you readers comming back every week, and there are still no new posts…
A couple of months ago Me and a friend started http://copygr.am a great service that lets you enjoy Instagram on your computer or iPad. My friend also runs the blog http://www.thecubetheory.com – and we also started http://danjan.se
So what are we doing right now? Well we are planning our move on version 2 of Copygram, it’s going to be awesome. We are also working some state of the art concepts for new online services.
Bare with me… I don’t know where we are going but I know one thing, I’ll always love design, architecture, music, videos, photography and cultural awareness.
see you soon / Linus

Dribbble Invitation – submit your best shot!
What Is Dribbble?
Dribbble is show and tell for creatives. Designers, developers and other creatives shareshots — small screenshots of the designs and applications they are working on.
How?
We got 1 Dribbble invitation. If you are a passionate graphics/web/UI/UX designer, you can earn this invitation by submitting your best shot ( 400px X 300px ) to me via mail or in the comments and I will post it on Dribbble to get some feedbacks from the pro(s). The community will decide whether you deserve a place on dribbble.
Ya, it sounds crazy to get through all this madness just to get an invitation. But the thing is, we respect what we do as a designer and we hope that dribbble only for people who have the same passion.
If you know a great designer friend, kindly let him/her know or RT about this and we really love to see some great talents to join this community.
When?!
This will be open until this Friday – 12 August 2011.
Frozen Wave in Madrid, skating in a ditch by Juan Rayos
We have to admit it, on WASF, we love skate. And since we also love motion, we can’t resist what the video editor Juan Rayos have been doing for a couple of months and years now. He just released Frozen Wave. A video where a couple of longboarders & skateboarders enjoy a sunny day in a ditch near Madrid. It’s pretty much about Sun, Good Music and a Skating arena.
Fake Apple store in Kumming, China – Steve Jobs must act
Are you listening, Steve Jobs?
From Birdabroad.
“The Western news media is replete with pithy descriptions of the rapid changes taking place in China: China has the world’s fastest growing economy. China is undergoing remarkable and rapid change. This represents a unique moment for a society changing as quickly as China.
You probably read such things in the paper every day – but if you have never been to China, I’m not sure you know quite what this means on a mundane level. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere on this blog, in the 2+ years that RP and I have been in our apartment, much of the area around us has been torn down, rebuilt, or gutted and renovated – in some cases, several times over. I had the thought, only half-jokingly, that when we returned from a couple months abroad, we might not be able to recognize our apartment building. Or that it might not be there at all.
As it turns out, my fears were baseless – our scrappy little home remains. The neighborhood, however, has definitely kicked it up a notch or seven. Starbucks has opened not one, but THREE branches (that I encountered) within a 10 minute walk of one another. An H&M has opened across from our apartment building. These are the kinds of major Western brands that were previously only represented in Kunming by fast food chains like McDonald’s and KFC. Our neighborhood has quickly become the swanky shopping center of the city.
So when we strolled down a street a few blocks from our house a couple weeks ago, I was only sort of surprised to see this new place, one that any American of my generation can probably recognize instantaneously:”
It’s an Apple store!
Or is it?
RP and I went inside and poked around. They looked like Apple products. It looked like an Apple store. It had the classic Apple store winding staircase and weird upstairs sitting area. The employees were even wearing those blue t-shirts with the chunky Apple name tags around their necks.
Mumford & Sons new song “Lover’s Eyes” and “Home/Untitled”
Well it’s nothing to deny I’ve been in love with Mumford & Sons ever since I heard, “little lion man” long before they got this famous. So here is one of their new tunes (with video and one new song that I found on Sound Cloud). Enjoy. I did.
