In spite of the comments that have been left here noting that the "flatiron copy" in Chicago is actually the Gooderham Building in Toronto (which predates NY's flatiron by almost a decade), you refuse to update your information. Additionally, had you read on in the Wikipedia article from which you obtained some of your information (try paraphrasing in the future), you would have seen a direct link to the Gooderham Building, thus saving yourself a great deal of embarrassment.

Yes this flatiron is neither a copy nor is it from Chicago. The "Flatiron" name is the only thing about this architecture style that's unique to NYC.

Toronto actually has 2 buildings like the, the second one being the Novotel on the Esplanade.

Hey,

Love the blog but the 'flatiron copy" in Chicago is actually the Gooderham Building in Toronto. It's much smaller than the Flatiron in NYC, but predates it by about eight years.
