“Blade Runner” makes it to the Olympics

This bloke Oscar Pistorius (yeah thats the name of a famous guy), got both his legs amputated when he was one year old. And now he is competing for a spot in the 2008 Beijing olympics. Two years ago Pistorius ran the 200 in 21.34 seconds, matching the women’s world record time set by Florence Griffith Joyner in 1988 and missing the qualifying time for the 2008 Olympics by just three-quarters of a second.

This last 24 hours the entire sports media in the world has been talking non-stop about Oscar, a man without legs as a chance to compete in the Olympics and not the Paralympics. We over at superfamous can only say this is a step forward in the human evolution, breaking ground for the times to come.

Pistorius we have just one thing to say, we wish you good luck in the qualifying and also like all the sportsmen out there. You are living your own dream, and oscar we hope and wish for your dream to come true!
